The following information on accessibility applies to the Android and iOS apps of the bike sharing systems of Deutsche Bahn Connect GmbH. These currently include Call a Bike, StadtRAD Hamburg, StadtRAD Lüneburg and RegioRadStuttgart.
As part of Deutsche Bahn Group, Deutsche Bahn Connect GmbH has implemented adjustments and improvements in accordance with the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG), which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility requirements for products and services, and the BFSGV (Regulation on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services under the Accessibility Strengthening Act).
With these measures, Deutsche Bahn aims to fulfill its social responsibility as Germany’s largest mobility provider by ensuring equal access to our information and digital services for all individuals.
For technical accessibility requirements, we follow the harmonized European standard EN 301 549 and the current version of the WCAG guidelines (version 2.2), conformance level AA.
This application meets the criteria of the current WCAG to a large extent.
It is subject to ongoing self-assessment and review processes and is continuously optimized regarding accessibility requirements.
Despite our efforts, users may still encounter barriers when using our services.
Description of the Service
Our service includes user registration and the provision of information on how the bike rental system works. Our goal is to make our services accessible to all people, regardless of any impairments.

We have conducted an internal accessibility review of our website. The basis for this review was the WCAG 2.2 guidelines. We tested screen reader operability. We also checked the clarity of content and forms, as well as contrast ratios, font sizes, and display across various devices.
Description of How the Service Meets Accessibility Requirements
The websites of the bikesharing systems operated by Deutsche Bahn Connect GmbH have been reviewed for accessibility in accordance with the Accessibility Strengthening Act and the BFSGV.
